ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT 

        Organizational Management is one of the  basic module of SAP HR. Organizational Management is based  on seven stand alone organizational objects or organizational elements with individual characteristics. These objects are linked together  through  relationships to structure a network for reporting  & HR forecasting.
        The Personnel Administration (PA) module holds the employee related data in infotypes whereas Organization Management (OM) module holds the data in object types or object elements.
Key Concepts in OM Module
The key concepts in the OM module  are
1.Object Types /Object elements
Organizational objects or elements are:
The five basic building blocks in OM  are O,C,S,P & K.

Organizational unit- Organizational units describes different business location or departments or groups  of an organization. We can create the organizational structure of company by linking organizational units to one another.
Job- Jobs  are classification for set of tasks of an employee to carry out in an organization.
Eg: Consultant, Manager,Engineer.
Positions- Positions  are concrete and are held by employees in a company. Positions are allocated to organizational units.It  represents a post that can be occupied by an employee.
Eg:  HR Manager, Finance  Manager ,Production  Engineer, SAP FICO Consultant .
Person - An individual, who is as an employee in an organization who hold a position . The data of a person is maintained in PA infoypes  such as 0000,0001,0002,0006 etc.
Eg: Pernr 00000290 in an organization.
Cost Center- Cost Center  represents  origin of costs.Each organizations will be assigned a cost senter.It is used for budgeting purposes.
Eg:US40001004 - US Pacific Central
Tasks- Task is duties & responsibilities which can be allocate to a person.
Task group - It is a group of duties & responsibilities which can be assigned either a job or a position.
2.Relationships
These objects are linked together  through  relationships to structure a network for reporting  & HR forecasting
3.Validity Dates
Each object has a start data & end date.
4.Infotypes
Infotypes are information types to  record related information.
HOW TO CONFIGURE ORGANIZATIONAL STRUC
Three methods  to customize Organizational structure of an organization.  
1.Simple Maintenance  
SAP Easy Access -> SAP Menu -> Organizational Management-> Expert Mode -> Simple      Maintenance -> PPOC_OLD C reate

3. Organization and Staffing
